Looks like an interesting new stainless steel DE razor from The Razor Company: They offer three baseplates and what looks to be a nice polished finish.
If anyone gets this razor, I'm sure the community would be interested in your comments about it!

I don't know if to take that as a compliment!
In all seriousness, my crazy buying brought me two incredible razors from The Razor Store:
The TRC Level 2 stainless and the TRC Level 2 titanium which are no longer available
(The Ti was only available for a couple weeks and that was it!)
I mention this because they happen to be in my top 10!
They're that good!
And whoever they use to do the machining is excellent. They make great razors!
@StewB , thanks for posting this, it looks like a really nice razor at a great price.
I'll take a deeper look at it later on today!

Well, I checked it out and this one will be
no go for me. The Vanguard isn't made in the machine shop that they used for the original TRC razors (USA). This one is made in China!
After looking through the pictures, the head kind of looks like the Atelier Durdan Number 7 and the handle resembles the Lambda Ares.
I'm guessing that those two razors were the inspiration.
I'll still check back here to see if anyone buys it. It'd be interesting to read some feedback!

I was waiting on someone to comment on this as I was curious if it was made from the same machine shop as the original TRC razors. I did see those TRC from before, thought they were interesting but did not get them, its ok, plenty of options out there.

First time reading 'Top 10'... If you don't mind me asking, how many razors do you own?

I believe I'm up to like 87!
3/4 modern, 1/4 vintage or something like that!

With so many options, how do you even begin to choose which one to use on any given day? I have 4 and sometimes find that choice challenging enough

I have well over 200 razors, but a lot of them are cheapies.

At one point in my journey I had 4!
And then it goes nuts when you "seek" the one!
And then you seek the next best, next best, etc..
Reason for me: Buy, try, keep & sell!
Keep only the modern ones I find best (and keep all the vintage ones) and keep some that have no real value to sell.
That's how I got to that quantity!
And the ones that don't make the cut (that have value) are the ones that fund the next ones that come in.
In terms of choosing:
I have a razor rack that holds a few razors on my bathroom countertop and also have some in individual stands.
The ones on the countertop are my favorites and I use a different one every day. I just rotate left to right!
All the others are stored and only come out every once in a while whenever I think about them.

Only the ones that deliver exceptional shave get to hold a place of honor on your countertop. I'm genuinely curious: could you share your top 5 razors. No rush at all, take as much time as you need to think

Just ordered the aluminum TRC Level 2.
The second most interesting one there right now is the English Reggie, but I think the handle is ugly, and it wasn't clear to me what 1940 design it pays homage to.
The sort of reverse Goodwill top cap on the Vanguard looks interesting, but not $200 interesting. It is a cool way to engage the alignment holes in the standard blade stamp. Actually, that handle has nice knurling, but the little polished section by the bottom end throws the aesthetic off.

Hard to pick just 5 since I like quite a few equally in no specific order:
-Wolfman WR3 Bronze GEM .40 OC
-Wolfman Guerrilla Ti .69 DC
-Atelier Durdan stainless Le Maurice 1.20 grooved
-Atelier Durdan stainless Number 7 .09
-Tatara Nodachi
-TRC titanium Level 2
-Razorock Superslant 2+
-Blackland Sabre V2
-Hone Bronze type 15
-Focus Tritok Concave stainless
-'24 Rocnel Sailor
Off the top of my head, those are my favorites!
I've got a couple recent ones that are on trial mode right now as well!

Hahahahaha, I ordered it 2 hours ago!
Ordered it after reading post #5 above.
I went to check out the Vanguard and noticed they now had the aluminum in the Level 2!
I had the aluminum when it first came out a couple years ago (from the original artisan before TRC took it over).
It was the SCS Model A and it was inefficient. Now with the Level 2 it should match the stainless & titanium versions which I love.

I don't have a single one of these unless you count the aluminum TRC I just ordered.

I'm sure you'll like it!
Notice both TRC's (stainless & titanium)
are on my top list. They're the cheapest from all of those and are fantastic.
BTW:
I had The Reggie's Jupiter brass and the Saturn stainless and they're now long gone!
